Privacy notice

SIM.Africa processes information needed to operate the storefront, provide accounts and guest order access, take payment through the configured provider, fulfil eSIM orders, send transactional email, answer support requests, and protect the service.

Information processed

This can include contact details, account details, order and package identifiers, payment status and references, device or troubleshooting information you provide, supplier fulfilment records, and security or operational logs. SIM.Africa does not intentionally store raw payment-card details.

Service providers

Information is shared only as needed with configured providers for payment, eSIM supply and provisioning, email delivery, authentication, content management, hosting, database storage, monitoring, and support.

Guide referrals

If you choose to remember a tour guide, SIM.Africa stores a signed referral cookie in your browser for 30 days. It identifies the guide and referral expiry, and does not contain your contact or payment details. You can forget the remembered guide at checkout or clear your browser cookies. You may enter a guide code manually instead. A valid code entered at checkout takes precedence for that purchase.

We record attributed purchases and commission amounts to operate the guide program. Top-ups on a referred eSIM retain the original guide attribution independently of browser cookies. Guides see sale references, package information, and earnings; they do not receive traveller contact information or eSIM installation credentials. Guide application information and payout records are available only to the guide and authorized administrators. Payment instructions are arranged directly outside the app.

Analytics

The storefront emits a limited event layer for product interactions. Sensitive payment details and full customer email addresses must not be included in analytics events.

Your choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion where applicable by emailing support@sim.africa. Some order and payment records may need to be retained for legal, fraud-prevention, accounting, or support purposes.
